New menu, who dis?
Tomorrow we roll out a fresh all day line up. Victorious week felt like the right moment to try it and we have a sneaky feeling it will stick.
The all day menu runs alongside breakfast from open.
Breakfast finishes at 11:30.
The all day menu keeps going through lunch.
French toast now lives on both. Because you asked. Because we listen.
Hot Honey Halloumi French Toast
Crispy edged halloumi, a generous drizzle of hot honey, a cloud of whipped ricotta, and homemade maple cornflake crunch for salty sweet snap. Alfred tested the crunch and definitely ate a whole bowl. With ZERO regrets.
Add bacon if you are feeling extra. This one is on from open and all day.
Baked Plums with Coconut Yoghurt
British plums are bang in season and tasting unreal. We’re bake them until jammy, then spooning over coconut yoghurt. Topping with a light as a cloud sesame, tahini and puffed rice crumble. Bright. Silky. Crunchy.
Vegan and gluten free and still very delicious.
Buddha Bowl 2.0
A proper Southsea Coffee classic but with a glow up. We’ve added best ever lentils alongside the avocado, sun kissed tomatoes, pesto, feta, sesame dukkah, soft poached egg, and those pink pickled onions you love.
Bigger. More filling. Still fresh. Make it vegan. Or add chicken and bacon if you want lunch lunch.
Why the switch ups?
Strawberries are out of season so we took the French toast in a direction that makes sense right now. (plus the kitchen smells like toasted cornflakes and joy).
We also wanted more of what you ask for. Big bowls that keep you going. Lighter plates that still feel special. French toast on all day. Things you can share and steal bites of without starting a table row.
How to tackle it
Come hungry.
Bring a friend.
Order across sweet and savoury and swap forks.
Breakfast dishes till 11:30. The all day menu runs alongside breakfast from open and then carries on.
See you from 8:30. The coffee is ready and the cornflake crunch is dangerously snackable.
