A first-time coffee for Square Mile, Karambi gives distinct notes of peach accompanied by a delicious blackcurrant underlay and syrupy mouthfeel.
Square Mile bag their coffees as 350g.
Established in 2015 and owned by Edmond Kanyamibwa, the Karambi Mountain washing station is located in the Nyamasheke district of Southern Rwanda.
Growing up in the area, Edmund works closely with the farmers who deliver cherry to the station. And, thanks to years of experience, he delivered impressive quality after just one season of building Karambi. Since then, the washing station has been going from strength to strength.
The coming together of microclimate, farming techniques and skilful processing, Karambi highlights the punchy acidity and round, silky texture characteristic of Red Bourbon grown in Rwanda, encapsulating everything there is to like about coffee from the region.
